We are looking for an experienced Financial Accounts Manager to join a prestigious membership organisation and charity, overseeing their financial accounts and treasury management functions.
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accounts Manager:
- Manage the year-end process for the organisation’s group of entities, ensuring the delivery of audit essentials.
- Line manage two Finance Accountants, guiding their work to deliver a first-class customer-focused financial accounts and treasury service.
- Oversee banking, investment, and treasury management functions for the group.
- Assume responsibility for the completion of full statutory accounts and returns, including Charity Commission returns.
- Advise and provide training to internal staff on any accounting matters, where required.
- Prepare and complete quarterly VAT returns, in full compliance with HRCM guidelines for charities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Qualification as an Accountant (CCAB-recognised).
- Demonstrable experience of producing statutory accounts using FRS102 and SORP, and of previous experience of preparing group accounts.
- Direct line management experience and hands-on experience of preparing VAT and corporation tax returns.
- Advanced Excel skills and highly analytical, with the ability to present complex financial information in non-technical language.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience of reporting on behalf of a charity and of implications for VAT.
Salary and Benefits:
- c£72,000 per annum.
- Full-time, 12-month fixed-term position.
- Hybrid working pattern, office in Central London with provision for remote working.
