Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hospital Chef to join our team at various hospitals in London. As a Band 3 Hospital Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious and delicious meals for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to strict dietary requirements and health regulations. Your culinary expertise will contribute to the well-being and recovery of patients and ensure high-quality dining experiences within the hospital environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and cook meals according to specified menus, and dietary guidelines.
  2. Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times, following hospital and industry regulations.
  3. Monitor food supplies and place orders as needed to maintain inventory levels and minimize waste.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and storage procedures.
  5. Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation to enhance the dining experience for patients, staff, and visitors.
  6. Respond promptly to special requests and accommodate last-minute changes to meal plans as necessary.
 
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef in a healthcare or institutional setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
