Your new schoolHays is working closely with a great primary school in the vibrant centre of Lambeth, a Year 1 teacher has a thrilling opportunity at this 'Outstanding' school.

Your role as a Year 1 Teacher

  • Create and plan captivating lessons aligned with learning objectives.
  • Set targets, considering students' prior knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to school and national assessment guidelines. Keep meticulous records and communicate student progress effectively.
  • Supervise Learning Support Assistants and other classroom aides.
  • Participate actively in primary school duties, overseeing playtimes and leading school-wide and class assemblies.


What you will need to succeed for this Key stage 1 teaching job:A successful candidate will:

  • Must hold QTS status.
  • Have recent experience of working in primary schools in the UK.
  • Have good interpersonal skills.
  • Showing good standards of professionalism, being well-organised and capable of working with policy and procedure to agreed timescales.
