I am working with an established Law firm in their search for a billing coordinator to join their London office. The role works closely with the five-person billing team.

Duties of the role:

  • Be the first point of contact for queries and requests from the firm's lawyers across the UK and Germany.
  • Organise and distribute monthly billing workload, such as preparation of WIP reports, changing WIP, drafting and finalising bills.
  • Manage the e-billed clients, including the uploading of LEDES files and bills, onboarding for new e-billing clients and dealing with rejected invoices.
  • Oversee compliance with internal billing procedures.
  • Liaise regularly with clients.
  • Manage disbursements.
  • Request the opening of new files.

The right candidate will have:

  • 1 or 2 years of experience in legal billing and/or patent prosecution billing/client invoicing highly desirable
  • E-billing experience
  • Previous work experience in the field of accounting
  • Professional attitude - personable, well prepared, flexible, and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to manage own workload and to ensure that it is completed to the highest standard possible.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Initiative and desire to consistently exceed expectations.
  • Self-motivation and team spirit.
  • Resilience.
  • Strong numerical ability.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an analytical mind.
  • Excellent IT skills, with strong emphasis on Excel.
