HR Administrator - Local Authority (Hillingdon)Contract: 3+ Months (with potential to extend)Rate: £17.00 per hour (Umbrella)Location: Hillingdon

We are currently seeking a reliable and organised HR Administrator to join a Local Authority team in Hillingdon on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience to support vital HR processes, particularly around onboarding and employee records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contact employees regarding required pre-employment and ongoing checks

  • Input and maintain check details in internal tracking matrices and systems

  • Resolve employee queries related to DBS, Right to Work, and similar checks

  • Conduct in-person document verification for all new starters (internal and external)

  • Monitor and update DBS and Right to Work statuses in the Matrix system

  • Record outcomes accurately in Eploy, ResourceLink, and SharePoint

  • Notify managers of results from employee checks

  • Maintain accurate records and generate compliance check reports

  • Store documentation correctly in SharePoint and Civica systems

  • Assist with scanning, digitising, and storing paper employee files

  • Review records for data retention compliance and process archiving/destruction

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including onboarding tasks

  • Carry out other ad hoc administrative duties as needed

Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience in HR administration or a similar office-based role

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Comfortable handling confidential documents and data

  • Confident using HR systems like ResourceLink, SharePoint, or similar

  • Detail-focused with the ability to manage a high volume of admin tasks accurately
