Estates and Fire Health and Safety Advisor
Venn Group are working with a major London University to secure the services of an Estates and Fire Health and Safety Advisor
Salary: £47,682 - £54,951 depending on experience
Duration: 4-month FTC (Maternity Cover)
Location: London (hybrid)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Provision of health and safety advice and instilling a culture of health and safety throughout Professional Services teams
- Compliance checking of asbestos, legionella, electrical safety, construction and CDM regulations, notifications and licensing arrangements
- General compliance and governance of statutory duty relating to Estates and their activities in relation to planed preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Carrying out regular building inspection with Estates and contractors
- Ensuring correct contractor management controls are in place
- Auditing and monitoring of the Estates, Schools and Department Health and Safety management systems
- Fire, Health and Safety training and mentoring of staff and students
The successful candidate will have:
- National Certificate (NEBOSH) General or Construction or Fire Safety
- Member of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
- Strong stakeholder engagement
