Job Scope:

We are seeking a Senior Night Care Assistant to join our client’s team in a facility offering 40 single and three double residential rooms tailored for residents with dementia. In this role, the Senior Night Care Assistant will provide person-centered care to residents, ensuring their optimal well-being, independence, self-expression, and fulfillment. Responsibilities include supporting residents in various daily activities such as personal care, food and drink assistance, medication management, and recreational activities.

As a Senior Night Care Assistant, you will maintain detailed and accurate records of care provided, adhering to residents’ care plans. Effective communication with residents, relatives, colleagues, and others will ensure seamless care provision and recording of health needs. Additionally, collaboration within a team will maximize care delivery, and active participation in training will ensure a safe care environment. The Senior Night Care Assistant will also observe health and safety rules, maintain the environment in good repair, and represent the care home professionally.

Do you have?

  • Possess a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a similar care environment.
  • Experience with care plans and supervision.
  • Sensitivity and awareness of the challenges involved in caring for and supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • Demonstrate expertise in person-centered care for elderly residents in a care home setting.
  • Have hands-on experience working with individuals with dementia and a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and regulations.
