TimePlan Education Ltd are working with a fantastic secondary school located in Lambeth who are on the lookout for a 1-1 SEN TA to start immediately with the possibility of continuing into the next academic year.

Position: 1-1 Teaching Assistant (Long-term position)

Location: Secondary school in Lambeth

Student Profile: Wheelchair user with learning difficulties

Start Date: Immediate start, with potential continuation into September 2024

About the Role:

This long-term position offers you the chance to provide crucial support to a remarkable student with learning difficulties and mobility challenges. As a dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral role in the student's educational journey, fostering their growth and development in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do:

Offer personalized support to a wheelchair user with learning difficulties.

Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.

Provide compassionate personal care assistance with dignity and respect.

Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the student's needs are met.

Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding the student's progress and well-being.

Desired Skills:

Experience in personal care, preferably in an educational setting.

Basic understanding of British Sign Language (BSL) is desirable.

Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learners.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
