GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Modern Language Teacher to join our client school for a fixed-term position starting in September 2025. As a Modern Language Teacher, you will play a key role in this mission by delivering engaging lessons that ignite curiosity and mastery in one or more foreign languages.

• As a Modern Language Teacher, design and deliver an inspiring curriculum across key stages, covering core language competencies such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

• Use interactive teaching methods and multimedia resources to create dynamic learning experiences.

• Plan and assess students through oral exams, presentations, writing assignments, and classroom participation.

• Encourage cultural appreciation and fluency, helping students gain insight into the diverse world around them.

• Maintain an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that nurtures enthusiasm and achievement in language learning.

• Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency and high standards of delivery.

• Stay current with developments in modern language education and actively participate in professional development activities.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ideally with a degree in Modern Languages or a related field.

• Previous experience as a Modern Language Teacher at secondary level.

• Proficiency in teaching one or more languages such as French, Spanish, or German.

• Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum and assessment criteria in modern languages.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• A collaborative spirit and a student-centred teaching approach.

• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

• Right to work in the UK and suitable references.
