SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 3 - Behaviour Support - Primary School - Haringey - Immediate Start
An excellent primary school in the borough of Haringey is seeking a resilient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This long-term role involves working 1:1 with a pupil in Year 3 with Autism and associated behavioural challenges. SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with a Year 3 pupil with ASD and challenging behaviour.
Provide consistent, nurturing support to help the pupil manage emotional regulation and engagement in lessons.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to follow structured behaviour plans and tailored interventions.
Help facilitate transitions in and out of class, occasionally working with the child in a break-out space when necessary.
Participate in wider school activities and provide general class support when not working 1:1.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Ideal Profile:
Previous experience in an SEN Teaching Assistant role, especially with Autism or behaviour support.
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Psychology or education graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply via Reeson Education).
