We are currently looking for a Restaurant Manager (Maternity Cover) to oversee daily operations, support the floor team, and ensure that our service standards remain high. This role is ideal for a proactive and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations (5 Days per Week)
Oversee and manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service.
Support supervisors on the floor, stepping in where needed.
Set a positive example for the team through strong leadership.
Conduct pre-shift briefings and allocate staff roles effectively.
Maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, and ambiance.
Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience and handle any concerns.
Train and mentor staff on service standards and upselling techniques.
Monitor and manage labour costs, ensuring efficient scheduling.
Ensure all restaurant policies and health & safety regulations are followed.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork and professionalism.
Motivate and support the team to deliver exceptional service.
Conduct one-on-one staff sessions to ensure engagement and development.
Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
Who We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager or similar in a high-volume hospitality setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment
A genuine passion for food, drinks and customer experience
Financially savvy with experience in cost control and reporting
Proficient with scheduling, stock systems, and basic HR functions
