This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading academic institutions, supporting their Engineering Faculty through a period of significant growth and transformation.The RoleAs the single point of contact for our client's Engineering Faculty, you'll be at the heart of strategic HR delivery, working closely with senior academic leaders to drive people excellence across this dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Partnership: Act as the dedicated HR Business Partner for the Engineering Faculty, building exceptional stakeholder relationships
  • Complex Employee Relations: Lead on sophisticated ER casework, providing expert guidance to Senior Leaders
  • Organisational Design: Drive major restructure projects, including business case development and implementation
  • Policy Navigation: Guide clients through complex university policies and systems
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong partnerships across all levels of the organisation
What We're Looking ForEssential:
  • Relationship Building Excellence: Dynamic personality with proven ability to build rapport and influence at senior levels
  • Complex ER Expertise: Substantial experience managing sophisticated employee relations cases (disciplinaries, grievances, TUPE, etc.)
  • Change Management: Strong track record in large-scale organisational change and restructuring projects
  • Academic Sector Knowledge: Understanding of higher education environment and its unique challenges
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate HR strategy into practical solutions
Highly Desirable:
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in matrix organisations
  • Previous university or research institution experience
  • Succession planning and talent management expertise
