I am looking for a Mandarin or Cantonese speaking HR Officer to be based in North London within a retail business!As HR Officer, you will work closely with the HR Manager, Senior Management Team and Store Managers, this is a great role for someone to take the next step in their career!Duties include but not limited to:* Assist in staff recruitment, develop job descriptions and specifications, prepare job adverts, screening, shortlisting, and arranging interviews for suitable candidates* Check prospective staff have valid right to work before issuing an employment contract* Oversee the onboarding of new employees across all stores* Develop and implement policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management* Regularly review employee handbook and propose amendments based on currentemployment law and Company needs* Ensure payments are processed accurately and reported in a timely manner to meet strict deadlines* Process all aspects of 4 weekly payroll including starters, leavers, payroll adjustments and ensure employees have correct pay and benefits* Act as first point of contact for all payroll related queries and requests* Produce annual and monthly payroll reports for key stakeholders, including Finance and HR* Work closely with various departments and stores, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures* Provide advice and guidance to Store Managers regarding staff related matters* Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation* Keep up to date with key changes in employment law* Process grievances and disciplinary procedures in a timely manner* Develop HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements* Plan and at times deliver training, including new staff onboarding* Develop programmes that enhance employee relations* Record and process confidential informationRequirements:* Excellent numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail* Proven work experience as a HR Administrator or HR Officer* Understanding of current UK employment law* Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)* A hard-working attitude and commitment to completing workloads within deadlines* Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects* Excellent telephone manner* A friendly personality and a team player* Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese* Must have the right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)If this exciting role is for you, please apply via the link below or contact Akshi Kular on for more information.Mandeville is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
