As the Data and Compliance Manager you will be responsible for developing and overseeing risk and data management governance for Reed Online including data security, data management, data quality, and data policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and independent subject matter expertise as a key resource and point of contact to the business, partner functions, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, monitor and audit a range of processes to ensure Reed Online continues to comply with relevant legislation.
  • Cultivate and influence senior management to ensure a strong compliance ethos.
  • Collaborate and partner with various subject matter experts across the Reed Group, other departments, clients, and customers to ensure compliance with GDPR.
  • Set in place a culture of continuous development of risk policies and systems so as to improve effectiveness, reporting accuracy and timeliness - including risk tools, templates and processes.

Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with cyber security risks and information security standards.
  • Previous experience as a Privacy/Data Protection Officer.
  • Excellent working knowledge of GDPR.
  • Experience in drafting documents and policies.
  • Professional, ability to handle confidential information whilst remaining impartial and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical and legal concepts to business areas.
  • Ability to manage and lead a data protection/privacy compliance programme
  • Advanced knowledge of IT systems, processes, and information security practices.
