We are now looking for a People & Culture Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping our workplace culture, supporting our people, and driving initiatives that make Hotel Café Royal an inspiring place to work.
The RoleAs People & Culture Manager, you will support the Director of People & Culture and lead the operational delivery of HR services across the hotel. Youll act as a trusted partner to leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, engagement, and development, while ensuring we create a workplace that values wellbeing, diversity, and belonging.
What Youll Do- Act as the first point of contact for managers and colleagues on HR and employee relations queries.
- Manage employee relations cases, performance management, and compliance with UK employment law.
- Oversee HR administration including contracts, onboarding, probation, and right-to-work checks.
- Support payroll accuracy and HR system integrity (experience with Fourth hospitality system is a strong advantage).
- Lead on employee engagement initiatives, recognition programmes, and wellbeing activities.
- Champion a positive and inclusive culture that aligns with our luxury hospitality values.
- Partner with leaders on performance reviews, talent management, and succession planning.
- Previous HR/People & Culture experience within luxury hospitality (5* hotel background highly desirable).Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem solving
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience with HR and payroll systems (Fourth hospitality system experience is highly advantageous).
- The ability to work on site full time (5 days a week).
