Senior IT Support EngineerLondon (Hybrid) | Full-Time

A global professional services firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior IT Support Engineer to provide 2nd Line support across its corporate IT systems, cloud infrastructure, and internal applications.

This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence across a hybrid workforce, supporting both on-site and remote employees, and contributing to broader IT initiatives and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver timely and effective 2nd Line IT support for internal users and systems.

  • Act as a technical escalation point for 1st Line support providers.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.

  • Manage support tickets using a structured IT service management system.

  • Provide support for a range of end-user equipment including laptops, mobile devices, and AV conferencing tools.

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to maintain and improve IT operations.

  • Support Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Active Directory, and associated cloud infrastructure.

  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a seamless experience.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.

  • Implement and maintain IT security measures using tools such as Palo Alto (Cortex XDR, VPN) and Zscaler.

Skills and Experience:
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar 2nd Line IT support role.

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Confident in managing support independently and collaboratively.

  • Technical proficiency with:

    • Microsoft Windows and Office 365

    • Azure and Active Directory

    • Collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, Box, and Teams

    • ITSM/ticketing tools (e.g. Halo)

    • Security technologies including Palo Alto and Zscaler

  • Familiarity with web hosting environments (e.g. Rackspace, Plesk) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of the asset management or insurance consulting sector is desirable.
