The Civils & Infrastructure Team at Ford and Stanley Group
are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Civil Engineering Specialist in the London Area, on their search for a Civil Engineer.

The Role

Our client is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Civil Engineering Professional to work in their Infrastructure Engineering team. 

Our candidates will have an interesting and varied portfolio of Projects/Structures to work on, that can encompass, Design, Demolition, Inspection/Assessment/Analysis, & Construction.

These projects could include Station Developments, AFA Schemes, Bridge Design/Strengthening/Repairs, Retaining Walls, Canopies/Roof works, and New build (Residential and Commercial), to name a few.

There will be a blend of both planned, and reactive/urgent works, the majority of the current work bank being within the Rail Sector.

The Opportunity

Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy, specialising in Technical services, Design, Asset Management, and Engineering Services, across several separate business units.

Salary/Benefits:

Civil Engineer: £37,000 - 45,000 per annum

Requirements:

  • Experience in a civil/structure engineering role, ideally on infrastructure projects. 
  • Experience within Rail is desirable but not essential. 
  • Design experience in a range of civil engineering projects. 
  • Working towards professional qualification: Chartered or Incorporated with either ICE or IStructE. 
  • Experience of assisting projects and teams within the delivery on time and to budget. 
  • Experience undertaking designs and calculations.
  • Experience of Eurocodes, Network Rail, Railway Group and British Standards (desirable).
  • Proficient use of MS Office based software is essential.
  • Working knowledge of a structural analysis software such as Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer (2D/3D frame), S-frame 3D, Robot, SuperStress, MIDAS, LUSAS etc.
