An award-winning, Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners ranked law firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to join its high-performing Commercial Real Estate team in London.
The Opportunity
- This is a fantastic full-time, permanent position for an experienced Legal Secretary in the Commercial Real Estate department. You will work several Partners and fee-earners, delivering top-tier administrative and secretarial support in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Duties to include:
- Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Partners and Associates
- Manage document drafting, amendments, engrossments, and creation of Docusign envelopes
- File management: opening, closing, scanning, profiling, archiving
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing, ensuring key documents, correspondence and emails are properly filed
- Manage client compliance checks (AML, conflict of interest, client care letters)
- Coordinate meeting arrangements, Teams calls, travel, room bookings and event logistics
- Assist with billing, matter management, and client onboarding or exiting
- Support junior secretarial staff (supervise or coach) and take initiative in managing the shared inbox and directing overflow work
This Legal Secretary position is a full time, permanent role, working Monday - Friday, 9:30am -5:30pm.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within a Real Estate team (commercial or residential)
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior secretarial or administrative staff
- Familiarity with Land Registry and SDLT applications, pre- and post-completion processes, and AML procedures
