Our client, a dynamic and evolving accountancy practise, is on the lookout for a talented Compliance Assistant to join their vibrant compliance team. If you're passionate about compliance standards and client onboarding regulations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Compliance Assistant, you will work alongside seasoned compliance professionals, supporting the Senior Compliance Assistant and Compliance Partner. Your mission? To ensure that compliance standards and client onboarding processes are met with excellence.

Duties:

  • Conducting various onboarding procedures for new clients.
  • Liaising with partners, managers, and clients to secure documentation for ID verification.
  • Performing anti-money laundering (AML) checks using software and interpreting results.
  • Collaborating with the compliance team on any AML/KYC issues that arise.
  • Escalating high-risk clients for enhanced due diligence procedures.
  • Assisting with new client risk assessments and AML documentation as needed.
  • Coordinating with colleagues to ensure engagement letters are issued promptly.
  • Supporting the compliance department with ad-hoc issues and projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an office-based environment or administration role.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills.
  • Effective time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • A flexible attitude with the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Previous experience in compliance-related work (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of AML and compliance regulations (Desirable)
