Residential Property Paralegal

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Property Paralegal to join a highly regarded law firm, based in their Central London office.

This firm are property specialists and are well-known for their work in this sector.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience of working in a Residential Conveyancing department.As a Residential Property Paralegal, you will be supporting on a caseload of:

  • Sales and purchases
  • Re-mortgages
  • Transfer of equity
  • Right to buy
  • Shared ownership
  • New builds

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Assisting with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks
  • Preparing standard correspondence and documents
  • Ordering property searches
  • Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) return and payment
  • Land Registry applications
  • Review client account ledger
  • Update case management system and database
  • Take and make calls to clients and others in a professional and friendly manner

You will be given the chance to work with, and learn from, respected solicitors in the industry as you look to progress with your career.

Experience:

  • At least 6 months experience working in a conveyancing or real estate team (essential).
  • Familiarity with conveyancing procedures and legal terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to property transactions
