We are currently partnering with a Housing Association, who are recruiting for a Housing Litigation Paralegal to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Our client is proud to be recognised as one of the largest Housing Associations in the UK, with officers in several different locations

This is a full-time position with a salary band of £24,000 to £30,000 (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing legal advice and assistance in routine/standard housing management and landlord & tenant matters such as access injunctions possession claims and defence of disrepair proceedings
  • Conducting litigation, preparing and drafting all pleadings, briefing Counsel or Litigation Lawyer conducting advocacy in house where appropriate
  • Assisting and providing advice on other contentious matters dealt with by the wider Litigation team
  • Aiding with the training of officers across the organisation on Housing and Landlord & tenant Law
  • Ensuring communication between instructing officers and the Legal team is effective and efficient

Experience required:

  • Experience required in a public sector organisation

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • This role has a particular focus on Housing Disrepair

Rewards and Benefits:

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
