My client is a globalcompany specialising in the manufacture and distribution of platform and home lift equipment. Founded in 1947 and since becominga leading global provider of accessibility solutions, they are actively seeking aPlatform Lift Service Engineer to manage a patch within the M25.
Working independently, the successful applicant will be responsible for;
- Carrying out routine checks to platform and home lift equipment.
- Isolating problems and carrying out repairs.
- Responding to emergency breakdown call-outs.
- Demonstrating new equipment to clients.
- Completing the commissioning of new equipment.
- Refurbishing or replacing lift interiors, flooring, panel displays, communication systems, buttons, and lighting.
- Updating written and computerised work records.
- Making sure equipment meets health and safety regulations.
- Producing risk assessment reports and legal and insurance documents.
To be considered for this exciting new opportunity with a leading manufacturer, you are required to have the following prerequisites;
- An NVQ Level 2 in Engineering Maintenance (Lift Servicing)
- Experience of working in the platform lift industry.
- Strong customer service skills and computer literacy.
- A full UK Driving License.
This opportunity offers a fantastic remuneration package, including;
- A basic annual salary of up to 40,000pa depending on experience.
- No requirement to participate actively in the standby rota; a fee will be paid to you for handling call-outs remotely, via phone only. No site attendance is required.
- Overtime, paid at enhanced hourly rates.
- 25 days' annual leave, in addition to Bank Holidays.
