Production Assistant | PRODUCTION & SOURCING | LADIESWEAR FASHION | LONDON | HYBRID | £24,000 - £27,000 A gorgeous ladieswear brand who are looking to bring a passionate and dedicated production assistant into the business. Essentially your role as the production assistant is to collaboratively work with: factories, suppliers, your buyers, garment techs and designers. As a production assistant you will love fashion, textiles and ultimately working hands on with product.As the Production assistant you primary focusses will be:

• Placing and monitoring orders with vendors for your trims and fabrics
• Sourcing new trims & fabrics with your suppliers
• Working to understand what your designers and buyers are going to work into each season so you source the right textiles!
• Keeping up to date trackers and schedules to ensure everything stays on time
• Sending requests to factories and suppliers accurately and with plenty of detail
• Negotiate cost prices to support the wider product team to make designs happen
• Administratively keep all sample, trim and fabric details on file and organised at all times
• Chase product from your supply base
• Send requests via the post to the suppliers/factories
• Manage and coordinate trims and fabrics by Country Of Origin
• Understanding of the critical path, especially around price breakdowns (open costings), cut dates and ex factory dates

Experience required:

• Experience with the critical path - desired, not essential
• And / or experience with suppliers & factories
• Good use of Excel
• High attention detail & organised is key
