As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in various settings, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. You will work with a team to design, implement, and troubleshoot air conditioning solutions tailored to clients' needs, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation: Install air conditioning systems, including ductwork, compressors, and units, in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Ensure proper placement and connection of components for optimal performance.

  2. Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks on air conditioning systems to ensure they operate efficiently. Clean filters, check refrigerant levels, and inspect components for signs of wear or damage. Perform preventative maintenance to avoid system failures.

  3. Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning air conditioning systems promptly. Identify issues such as leaks, faulty wiring, or mechanical failures, and implement appropriate solutions to restore functionality.

  4. Testing and Calibration: Conduct tests to verify the performance and efficiency of air conditioning systems. Calibrate thermostats, controls, and sensors to maintain precise temperature and humidity levels as required by clients.

  5. Client Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their air conditioning needs and preferences. Provide recommendations on suitable systems based on factors such as building size, usage patterns, and energy efficiency requirements.

  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair activities. Document equipment specifications, service reports, and any modifications made to air conditioning systems for future reference.

  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards when installing, servicing, or repairing air conditioning systems. Adhere to environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling and disposal.

  8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to coordinate project activities effectively. Communicate project timelines, requirements, and potential issues to ensure smooth execution of tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in HVAC systems preferred.
  • Proven experience as an air conditioning technician or engineer, with knowledge of HVAC principles, equipment, and components.
  • Proficiency in reading technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated heights.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
