JOB DESCRIPTION
- We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with plumbing experience to join a growing team. You will be on a shift pattern as part of a wider team carrying out maintenance and reactive repairs across a variety of commercial plumbing and drainage, including Pipework adaptions, and small installs.
- You should be capable of working to the highest level of service for the client, answering queries, reporting any defects, and keeping them informed of site activities at the time of the service visit. You will also be required to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
- You will have knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working, have good verbal and written communication and be physically able to carry out the fuller duties detailed in the job description.
- The candidate will require appropriate up to date training such as NVQ qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline).
- Be able to work with your own initiative.
- Have good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
- Have a good understanding of APOC L8 water management.
- They need to be able to read and understand technical drawings.
- Have good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Be able to use a PDA to manage your workflow effectively.
Be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written. - Suitable training may be given when needed to ensure that the candidate is competent to achieve the skills required.
- The ideal candidate would have a background within Maintenance / Facilities Management environment or similar, and have the skills to be able to carry out general M&E related task's to support our client's network.
