Location: Wandsworth, Southwest London
Hours: Full-time, 8am - 5pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Are you a skilled Maintenance Operative looking for a new opportunity in the education sector? Twenty4Seven Education is working with a an award winning, presitigious secondary school in Wandsworth, Southwest London, to recruit a talented individual to join their team as a Maintenance Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi skilled maintenance operative with building experience to work within a driven and organised maintenance team and have the opportunity for career progression into facilities management. Applicants must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new one. Applicants must also be readily available for work due to the urgency of the role or be approaching the end of a contract. This is a temporary to permanent position to start as soon as possible.
The Role:
- Provide efficient estates function for the school, assisting the Deputy Estates Director.
- Manage maintenance functions and contractors on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure delivery of premises and facilities services in a safe, secure, and cost-effective manner.
- Plan and implement small to medium scale planned maintenance works and building projects.
- Monitor and report on all planned and reactive maintenance for the school.
Requirements:
- Experience working in the building and education sector.
- Qualified tradesperson with a broad range of building-related skills.
- Excellent communicator, diplomatic, highly motivated, and organised.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Able to priorities and provide effective solutions as required.
