Your new companyYou will be working for a rapidly scaling insurance group with an international presence at an exciting time on their journey. Working at group level, you will play a crucial role in developing the businesses compliance culture and frameworks.Your new roleWe are looking for a Compliance Director to join the team and take charge of managing all compliance, including sanctions and financial crime, FCA regulatory compliance, product governance, and GDPR and data protection. You will be responsible for setting up control frameworks and leading a team of compliance professionals to ensure compliance with all regulations. The role will evolve into an SMF function and manage the SMCR for the businesses.What you\'ll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, an excellent understanding of the FCA regime and financial services legislation, and the ability to apply that knowledge in the right way. You must have experience in providing advice to the business on a range of issues and planning and executing compliance monitoring reviews, including the identification and reporting of issues. You should also have strong communication and influencing skills to change behaviour and mitigate risk. In addition, you should have regulatory knowledge, experience with data protection law, and stakeholder management.
