Compliance Manager - Insurance Industry

45k to 70k DOE

Must have an insurance background, no exceptions.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, (with flexibility for the right candidate)

Are you an experienced compliance professional with a background in the financial and insurance services sector? Equation are recruiting for a Compliance Manager on behalf of a respected organisation specialising in financial and insurance services. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of compliance frameworks and processes while supporting a business committed to excellence and ethical practices.

About the Compliance Manager role Role:As a Compliance Manager, you will oversee and maintain the organisation’s compliance framework, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, including FCA requirements and the latest Consumer Duty standards. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the business meets all regulatory obligations while contributing to its commitment to fair and ethical practices.

Key Responsibilities of the Compliance Manager:

  • Review and update company policies to align with regulatory standards, including FCA regulations and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Maintain a compliance monitoring plan, including annual reviews, version control, and regular audits.
  • Prepare and update reports, including the Consumer Duty Board Pack and Annual Compliance Report, tracking key metrics such as customer outcomes and regulatory breaches.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on documentation and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage regulatory reporting, track deadlines, and ensure timely submissions to the FCA.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes by attending webinars and monitoring updates from the FCA, ICO, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Handle audits, respond to requests, and provide due diligence on third-party suppliers.
  • Collaborate with management in meetings to discuss regulatory updates, compliance procedures, and areas for improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, ideally within the financial and insurance services sector.
  • Experience developing and managing compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
