Description
The Interim Governance Manager will report in the Group Company Secretary in their London office and be responsible for:
- Overseeing governance-related activities within the company's financial services department.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance across all operations.
- Acting as a key contact to deliver the required framework under SMCR.
- Ensuring collaboration between the People and Culture, Compliance and Company Secretarial teams to ensure timely completion of SMCR related tasks.
- Supporting the ongoing regulatory requirements (e.g. regulatory applications, updating Statement of Responsibilities and prescribed responsibilities).
- Communicating effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in regulations.
- Regularly reporting to senior management on governance and compliance matters.
- Continuously improving governance processes and procedures within the department.
Profile
A successful Interim Governance Manager should have:
- A strong background in the financial services industry.
- Experience in governance within an FCA regulated environment.
- Knowledge of the SMCR.
- A solid understanding of governance processes and regulatory compliance.
- Ideally hold a CGI qualification
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
