Your new companyIn Ealing, you will work in a global capital city within a Local Planning Authority that actively promotes development and regeneration. Under its 'Ealing In London' Brand they have had over £5bn of investment across the Borough. With five Crossrail stations across the Borough the demand for residential and employment development has grown massively over the past few years. With over 6000 applications a year and a management team that actively promotes career progression, working within Ealing will involve you in a huge variety of applications of all sizes.Your new roleYou will work as a Planning Officer with a caseload including a mix of Major and Minor projects. As an essential part of a high performing Development Management team your focus will be on results, you will need a good understanding of the planning system and a willingness to learn. You will be required to effectively manage caseload of planning applications and appeals, meeting relevant deadlines and statutory requirementsWhat you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate should have previous public or private sector planning experience demonstrating good experience and knowledge of the development management process within the local government setting. The post holder should have A Diploma or Degree in Town & Country Planning, or equivalent discipline (such as geography, construction, architecture or design) at graduate or post graduate level; and be a member (or be eligible for membership) of the RTPI.What you'll get in returnThe council offers a generous salary and package with hybrid working options available. You will be working on a mixed caseload to include complex projects and the opportunity to work on major strategic developments as projects are sent through to Senior Planners and the rest of the Planning team.
