Process Engineer (Mechanical) - SE London - circa 40 per hour (DOE) - Umbrella - Contract (2 years)

Primary Purpose:
Support the industrialisation of high-reliability submerged products, ensuring efficient and compliant production. Responsibilities include evaluating prototypes, defining assembly procedures and tooling, and improving manufacturing processes. The role supports critical global infrastructure through the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on NPI Projects introduce new high reliability submerged products into production.
  • Evaluate prototype parts/assembly, provide feedback for assembly procedure and design improvement.
  • Review and validate contract documentation (drawings, bill of materials).
  • Define tooling and equipment for product assembly.
  • Write build specifications for new and existing products.
  • Procure tooling/equipment to meet development and production plans.
  • Define standard build times and create build steps.
  • Instruct and advise operators on assembly.
  • Write Extra Work Authorisation (EWA) for investigations.
  • Analyse and improve production processes.
  • Conduct process audits and ensure compliance.


Requirements:

  • Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Engineering Degree.
  • Experience in technical/manufacturing environment.
  • Organised and methodical problem-solving approach.
  • Experience in a highly regulated engineering environment
  • Familiarity with ISO9001/TL9000, Lean, Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of PUWER, LOLER HSE Regulations
