This placement opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to gain practical experience in digital media, communications and content creation in an educational setting, to develop professional skills in social media strategy, analytics and stakeholder engagement and contribute to impactful projects, whilst building a strong portfolio of work.Â
As part of an 8-month placement, the Digital Media and Communications Intern will play a key role in supporting the Trust’s digital communications strategy. The intern will work closely with the Director of Communications, gaining hands-on experience in digital media and content creation while contributing to our mission to connect and engage with our diverse audiences effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Growth & Engagement:
Develop and implement creative strategies to grow the Trust’s social media following and engagement across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X), exploring opportunities for a presence on other platforms.
Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
Digital Content Creation:
Plan, design, and produce engaging digital content, including graphics, videos, and infographics, tailored to target audiences.
Write blogs and articles to share key updates, success stories, and insights from the Trust and its schools.
Newsletter Support:
Assist in curating and designing regular newsletters for parents, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring they are visually appealing and engaging.
Podcast Development:
Collaborate on the planning, production, and promotion of podcasts that align with the Trust’s values and goals.
General Digital Communications:
Support all digital communications initiatives, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging across platforms.
Explore innovative ways to utilise digital tools to enhance audience engagement and reach.
