 Requirements

·A minimum 5 years’ experience

·Must have worked on Public Works contracts.

·Social Housing sector

·Worked on Projects throughout the construction cycle

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

·Re-measurement of works requirements

·Sub-contractor appointment & management to final account

·Cost control & value engineering

·Valuing completed work and arranging for payments of same

·Timely drafting of commercial and contractual correspondence

·Valuing and recovery of contract varied & additional works

·Prepare and review monthly cost reports

·Negotiation and agreement of main contract final accounts

·A key leader in the development and growth of the company

·A team player with good organisational, communication and reporting skills

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ideal candidate

·A Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying

·IT Skills – experience in using Cost X and Build Soft

·Good knowledge of construction

·Excellent problem-solving skills

·Good financial and numeracy management skills

·Excellent communication and negotiating skills
