Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Hampton By Hilton London Waterloo. Greenport Restaurant is the specialty of Hampton by Hilton Waterloo which is situated in a central location on Waterloo Road next to the famous Old Vic theatre and perfect for both business and leisure visits to London. It is just moments away from some of the capitals most iconic attractions including the London Eye, Big Ben, The London Dungeons and many more. Also is just a short walk to the London underground network including Waterloo station from where you can navigate most of central London on the Jubilee, Northern and Bakerloo lines.

Greenport Restaurantoffers a prime casual dining experience with freshly made ingredients based on a casual American diner cuisine.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and a passion for guest services. This role is crucial in managing restaurant bookings and covers , coordinating with other departments, and enhancing the overall guest experience.

The Restaurant Manager at Greenport is responsible for managing the restaurant operation to maximise profitability and to ensure superior service and product quality, also to maximise team performance to deliver excellent customer care to all guests.

A Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our guests and, therefore, must perform to the highest standards including:

  • To ensure smooth running of the Restaurant operation on a daily basis, delegating where appropriate and implementing pre-shift and post-shift briefings.
  • To ensure all restaurant standards are followed at all times in the restaurant and bar area.
  • To prepare rotas to meet business needs and ensure that staffing levels and cost are kept within budget.
  • Ensure effective purchasing practices in line with purchasing manuals and budgets.
  • To attend and input into HOD meetings in line with Company standards.
  • To be responsible for the all the equipment within the Restaurant operation
  • To promote efficiency, confidence and courtesy within the hotel at all times.
  • Ensure guest requests are carried out in a timely, efficient and professional manner
  • To actively seek verbal feedback from customers and act on feedback both positive and constructive.
  • To generally promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations
  • Have a detailed and up to date knowledge of all restaurant and hotel services and functions at all times
  • Ensure the highest standard (both internal and external) customer care is delivered at all times
  • Work closely with the Sales team to ensure a co-ordinated approach to customers
  • Ensure all guest complaints relating to the restaurant operation are actioned not later than 48 hours and the necessary procedure is implemented to ensure there is no recurrence.
  • Promote good working relationships with regular guests, local companies, etc.
  • To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to colleagues
  • To promote a professional and progressive relationship with hotel suppliers ensuring mutual respect is maintained
