Fire alarm Service Engineer - London

We seek an adept and certified Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our expanding team. Your role involves maintaining, servicing, and repairing fire alarm systems across diverse commercial and residential sites. This position is pivotal in safeguarding building occupants' safety and upholding our outstanding customer service reputation

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839-1 standards.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in fire alarm systems efficiently and effectively.
  • Attend emergency callouts to rectify faults and ensure the continued operation of fire alarm systems.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on all service work undertaken.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service calls and completed work.
  • Liaise effectively with customers to explain findings and solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations while working on-site.
  • May be required to assist with the installation and commissioning of new fire alarm systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems qualification (NVQ or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of BS 5839 standards for fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using fire alarm test equipment.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong customer service focus.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Physically fit for the role, as it may involve working at heights and carrying equipment.
