Our client, a contemporary design gallery in Mayfair is currently looking to appoint an experienced Gallery Assistant to support all areas of the business, with focus on marketing and communications.

The Gallery Assistant acts as a key support in all areas of the business. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to multitask, with graphic design experience and interest in digital marketing.

Gallery Assistant Responsibilities include:

  • Gallery maintenance and front of house duties.
  • Assist with the physical setup and takedown of shows.
  • Assist with organisation of private views and gallery events.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database in relation to contacts.
  • Assist Marketing and Communications with maintaining the gallery's online presence, including the website, newsletter and social media platforms.
  • Assist Marketing and Communications with press enquiries.
  • Create exhibition renders (2D/3D).
  • Create mock ups for clients to visualize artworks in their space.
  • Support the Registrar with tracking and shipment of artist samples.
  • Developing and maintain relationships with clients, collectors, and artists.
  • Attend and assist with fairs as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Experience with database management; in particular knowledge of Artlogic would be a distinct advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of social media management and content creation.

In return, the successful Gallery Assistant will be offered up to £25,000, in line with experience and skills.
