Our client, a contemporary design gallery in Mayfair is currently looking to appoint an experienced Gallery Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of their gallery space.

The Gallery Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of the gallery. This role involves maintaining the gallery space, managing administrative tasks, supporting logistics, and assisting the directors.

Gallery Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure gallery's smooth functioning and that maintenance is kept up to date.
  • Liaise with external vendors in relation to exhibitions production.
  • Assist with the physical setup and takedown of shows. Organize private views and gallery events.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database in relation to artworks.
  • Support the registrar with post sales and fairs logistics.
  • Produce and update consignment and exclusivity agreements.
  • Produce loan agreements.
  • Produce biannual stock takes.
  • Point of contact for accountants: ensuring accurate financial management and compliance.
  • Staff training.
  • Developing and maintain relationships with clients, collectors, and artists.
  • Attend and assist with fairs as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years gallery experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

In return, the successful Gallery Manager will be offered up to £35,000, in line with experience and skills.
