Quest Search & Selection are partnering with one of the leading UK commercial players in Spain who is currently looking for a Store Manager to work across their branded supermarket retailers in the BNO of Gibraltar. Their ethos is to be a main focal point of the community and be able to provide the service that their customers require. Having a buying office in the UK allows the business to negotiate better prices and lead times to provide a large variety of branded and own brand products for the local and expat community.

Roles and responsibilities of this Store Manager position:

  • As a Store Manager you will be assisting in operating one of their branded sites managing the hands-on daily operations, P&L and legalities of your store.
  • Dealing with weekly large pallet delivery so can be physically quite demanding.
  • Leading KPIs focus measurables- around both financial and non-financial targets.
  • Managing and leading a team approx. 10-15 staff.
  • Assist in people management including training and development of new supervisors and assistants.
  • Managing and controlling stock levels
  • Leading a store with a turnover of 75-85k per week
  • Must be self-motivated and driven and work well in an autonomous environment!
  • Provide a legal compliant and visually presentable store.

To be successfully in this Store Managerposition you must :

  • Have Store, Deputy or Assistant management experience within convenience, forecourt, or small discount supermarket retail.
  • The client is looking for real hands-on people to drive and build the business.
  • KPIs focus on measurable- around both financial and non-financial targets.
  • Managing and leading a team - people management including training and development & succession planning.
  • Have managed a team size of approx. 15 -20 staff members.
  • Managing and controlling stock levels
  • You must be able to drive and hold a valid driving license.
  • Flexible to move around and add value to different stores!
  • Must be self-motivated and driven and work well in an autonomous environment!
