We are seeking a dedicated Complex Care Support Worker to provide compassionate care to a 48-year-old woman living with motor neurone disease. The ideal candidate will have experience with non-invasive ventilation machines, cough assist devices, and managing incontinence, as well as proficiency in donning and doffing masks safely.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist with the use of non-invasive ventilation machines to support the client’s breathing.
- Operate cough assist devices to aid in respiratory function.
- Provide support with incontinence care, ensuring the client’s comfort and hygiene.
- Follow strict protocols for donning and doffing masks to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor the client’s condition and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Engage with the client in a compassionate and respectful manner, providing emotional support.
- Minimum of six months’ experience in complex care settings.
- Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation and cough assist devices.
- Knowledge of best practices for incontinence care.
- Ability to follow safety protocols for donning and doffing masks.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care.
