About the Role
A supportive and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their KS1 team from 13th October. This role focuses on supporting a child with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence in their learning and social skills.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored one-to-one support, work closely with the class teacher, and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support for a KS1 pupil with additional learning needs.
Adapt resources and activities to support learning and progress.
Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and social interaction.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents.
Support the child's wellbeing alongside their academic development.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or working with children with additional needs.
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for supporting children's progress and development.
