Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Housing Officer to work with one of our Housing Association clients in London.

What the job will be doing

  • Managing a patch of around 88 properties across three sites.
  • Overseeing the re-letting of void properties.
  • Overseeing tenant complaints and ensuring these are recorded according to policy.
  • Dealing with ASB such as noise complaints and neighbour disputes.
  • Identifying vulnerable tenants and escalating/signposting as needed to third-party agencies.
  • Working with third-party agencies who may be supporting vulnerable tenants. We explicitly do not expect them to act in a caring or counselling capacity and should actively signpost safeguarding concerns.
  • Managing the introductory tenancy process and sign-up.
  • Performing regular estate inspections.
  • Reporting repairs to our PT Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
  • Inputting financial information into the system - invoices and rents.
  • General office management - clean desk policy and ensuring that documents are scanned and escalated accordingly. Some correspondence will need to be passed to the Management Committee for urgent action and should not be delayed.

What you will need

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fantastic organisational and time management skills
  • A thorough knowledge of lettings
  • Awareness of and ability to comply with health and safety legislation
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent computer literacy.
