Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to work within Lewisham Councils Mental Health Service.

Job Purpose

  • The Advanced Practitioner will be based within the Lewisham Council Adult Mental Health (AMH) service which is integrated with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), The post will be based at the Ladywell Unit but make be deployed to any of the mental health sites in Lewisham.
  • The Advanced Practitioner will work alongside operational managers and the Workforce and Practice Development Service to facilitate the support of newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) and will directly supervise the NQSWs and assess their progress during their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment.
  • The Advanced Practitioner will coach and support experienced social workers undertaking more advanced casework.
  • The Advanced Practitioner will personally undertake pieces of highly complex casework, including court work, and may hold a small caseload.
  • The Advanced Practitioner will promote the development of a culture of excellence, strengths-based practice and professional accountability at all levels of the service.
  • The Advanced Practitioner will contribute to the development of a cohesive Adult Social Care workforce by collaborating closely with other Adult Social Care APs and with the Principal Social Worker to undertake audits, develop shared training and disseminate tools for good practice.
  • The Advanced Practitioner will undertake the functions of Approved Mental Health Professional, Best Interest Assessor or Safeguarding Adults Manager on behalf of Lewisham Council, participating in rota duties as required.

You will need to be:

  • SWE registered
  • Eligible to work in the UK
