The Role:As a Senior Practitioner with our Disabled Children's Team, you'll play a vital role in managing complex cases and mentoring fellow social workers. Your caseload will involve children and young people facing significant challenges, requiring high-level intervention to ensure their safety and well-being. Operating with autonomy and authority, you'll deliver exceptional outcomes and employ a systemic therapeutic approach to safeguarding.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing social work provision in line with national guidance and local policy
  • Safeguarding and securing the well-being of children and young people
  • Empowering families and strengthening their resilience
  • Representing the local authority as a corporate parent
  • Collaborating with colleagues and agencies to benefit children and families

About You:

  • Recognized Social Work Qualification and registered with Social Work England
  • 2-3 years' experience in safeguarding children and families
  • Experience in disabled children services or related areas
  • Ability to engage with families from diverse backgrounds
  • Up-to-date knowledge of child care practice, legislation, and best practices
