  • Role: Automation Service Developer
  • Duration: ASAP-6 months (with possible extension)
  • Pay: £450 per day
  • Location: Edinburgh (with hybrid working)
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Requirements: Basic disclosure required, Outside IR35
Responsibilities:
  •  Develop a productionised automation service based on previous R&D findings, harnessing OCR and NLP to analyze deeds and build safe automation rules.
  • Build system components supporting deed OCR, NLP analysis, signature detection, and title change prediction on AWS serverless platform.
  • Conduct spikes and research to expand the scope of automation service.
  • Perform robust data analysis to verify and enhance system behavior.
  • Provide top-notch support for the operational service.
  • Innovate novel solutions to advance automation goals.
  • Demonstrate collaborative software development practices focused on readability, maintainability, and appropriateness.
  • Extend and enhance support procedures, dashboards, monitoring, and deployment capabilities to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Actively engage in team events, offering specialized knowledge and supporting process improvement.
Key Skills:
  • Commercial expertise in OCR, NLP, ML, AWS technologies (CDK, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudFormation, Aurora/Postgres), Python, and Typescript.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various business areas.
  • Strong communication skills, conveying complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Agile delivery models like Scrum and/or Kanban, as well as formal XP engineering techniques and defining infrastructure-as-code.
