Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children is essential
  • A valid DBS on the update service
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed

Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional learning needs
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Promote independent learning and social skills development
  • Collaborate with other professionals, parents, and external agencies as needed
