Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our North London team, specifically in Westminster. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students in their educational journey. You will work closely with teachers to provide additional assistance to students who may require extra support due to learning difficulties or other educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with their learning activities under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
  • Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students during classroom activities, including class discussions, projects, and experiments.
  • Help students with tasks such as reading, writing, and numeracy.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others learn and succeed.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training as required.
