Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?

LTF Recruitment are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partner school's dedicated staff. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will work closely with classroom teachers and SENCO to provide tailored support to children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Implementing EHCPs and behaviour management strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons and activities to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools).
  • Strong understanding of various special educational needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
