A welcoming primary school located in Camden have approached us with regards to an SEN 1-1 role available in their school. They are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their school long-term, with the opportunity to go permanent in September.

The school offers a wealth of support, and you would be closely working with the SENCO, Senior Leadership and Classroom Teachers to enhance the outcomes for their students

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning and behavioural needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting students in the classroom to ensure their engagement and understanding.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural and social needs
  • Collaborating with teachers and the SEN department to create tailored learning plans.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and a love for learning among students.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A genuine passion for working with students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student progress.
  • Previous experience working in SEN or school settings
