Are you a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a part-time role where you can make a real difference? Reeson Education is delighted to present an opportunity for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with special educational needs at a primary school in Grove Park. This rewarding role starts in September and offers a chance to work three days per week.

SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

* Individual Support: Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and a positive learning experience.
* Tailored Interventions: Implement and adapt teaching strategies and interventions to meet the individual needs of the child, promoting their academic and personal development.
* Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and track the child's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents, and adjusting support strategies as needed.
* Inclusive Practices: Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, working closely with the class teacher to integrate the child into classroom activities and promote social interactions.
* Behaviour Management: Employ effective behaviour management techniques to support the child's emotional and behavioural needs, creating a safe and positive learning environment.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

* Experience with SEN: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a 1:1 setting.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with the child, teachers, and parents.
* Patience and Empathy: A patient and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.
* Flexibility: Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the child and the classroom environment.
* Relevant Qualifications: Holding a relevant qualification in special needs education or childcare is desirable but not essential.
