Here at LTF Recruitment we have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a school in East London as a Behaviour Mentor. We are looking for someone who has the understanding that some children struggle with emotional and social problems, and to work with them to encourage better norms of behaviour. This role is for someone who has a calming influence and will be able to effectively build relationship with individual pupils and ensure that they are getting educational support where needed. This is a full time role and will be made permanent for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will be required to give 1:1 support to specific pupils, with SEN needs.
  • Will need good time management skills to make sure that every child feels included and accepted.
  • You will be working closely with students who have difficulties focusing and engaging so you will be required to implement positive strategies to support them.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to report pupil's progress.

Key Requirements:

  • You will need to be a patient and approachable person.
  • Have a valid DBS or willing to apply for a new DBS.
  • Team Teach trained is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of working with children with SEN needs within a similar setting.
